How much notice do you need?

Every job is different. If we are doing only balloons without special set designs or flowers, then we will need a minimum of three week notice. However, we suggest booking your event with us ASAP as we have hectic schedules and your week may not be available.

How much do you charge and what type of payment do you accept?

Our fees vary. For an idea on balloon costs, please refer to our rates & services page. Please keep in mind that every balloon job is different and as such there is no "one fee for all". Flowers vary greatly depending on the season, the types of flowers you want and the type of arrangement both in scale and design. Set designing is on a consultation basis only. As for the type of payment we accept, cash and checks work just fine. Bella Flair doesn't have the ability to accept credit cards at this time. Typically, 50% deposit will be requested up front and the balance due upon completion.

How far will you travel?

We prefer to stay within the DC Metro area but will travel to Baltimore, Frederick or as far as Manassas if the job warrants it.

What if I don't know what I want?

Somewhere deep inside, you have an idea of what you want to do, that's why you are contacting us. I will do my best to help you find your vision without blowing your budget! My goal is to create the WOW factor and to make you happy with the final product. Sometimes that may mean allowing me "free reign" to create a beautiful and unique version of your vision. Don't worry though, I will include you in the process to make sure I get your seal of approval first -- no crazy surprises!

How did you learn to do this?

Believe it or not, I don't have formal training. I study books & DVDs, do mounds of research and practice techniques at home -- that goes for flowers and balloons. My goal is to become a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) through Qualatex and I'm studying to become one. The rest comes from God. My husband and I have a good eye for detail. My rule of thumb is to do for my clients what I would want done for myself. I wouldn't do anything less for my clients. It also helps to have a husband who is good with tools and can build almost anything.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Hopefully the cancellation is not due to an unfortunate event! If, for whatever reason, you need to cancel and we have not done any building of sets or have ordered any materials such as balloons or flowers, then we can refund your money minus a 20% fee for my initial time. If materials have been ordered, we will have to keep the 50% deposit. Materials are usually ordered four to two weeks before your event depending on the complexity of your project. For Arts & Craft projects, I need a minimum of four weeks to create my designs.
